(On NFT's) N.F.T. stands for 'Non-Funglible Token' (that right there should send you into a mushroom craze of sorts). What are they? In a nutshell, it was meant to be a 'new age' digitized form of Art, that is catered to Online Collectors. Specifically, those with Bitcoin. Bitcoin (as well as Etherium, Dogecoin, etc) are (abstract) variants of online currency (backed by nothing except trust and an unknown creative source). Sounds quite Orwellian, no? What sets them apart from your typical digital Art piece? Its "allure" was based on what is called the "blockchain", a master database server that would permanently list all owners' names of NFT's for the world to see. You could trade them with other NFT owners, sell them, upload them in the supposed 'metaverse' (that still isn't out). You were meant to be the 'talk of the town' in this AI-driven cyber world. The ultimate conclusion from myself as an Artist for over thirty years, is that this is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. One can simply screenshot any digital image if they please (for free!). So, why would anyone go and pay exorbitant amounts of money to not even own a physical piece of Art? Corporations have gone too far and are trying to sell you back your own cultural aspects of life, in a cheaper, much less valuable form. I still tried. Guess what? I didn't sell any. No one even viewed my site, my collections, or anything of that nature. I did however get tons of Instagram scam solicitors that tried to 'purchase' my NFT's and resell them. What a weird scamming point. So lazy. I miss the scam centers in Nagaland. They had some strange charm and soul to them. (Update: I thought about this whole debacle and came up with a solution. I will re-mold this entire concept of NFT's, as they are simply digital art collections that can be tailored in a way that is appealing and valuable to the Collector.
